Where Is the Birthday Sprite in Fortnite?

That means there is no reliable coordinate to mark and visit every match. A route with several Chests and opportunities to use Cheat Codes gives you more chances than waiting at a single spot.
You may see guides recommending birthday cake areas, mountain paths, or specific points of interest. Those can be places to search, but they should not be treated as confirmed Birthday Sprite locations. If you land at one and find nothing, it does not mean you missed a hidden pickup.
Both methods are worth using. Open Chests as you loot normally, but pay close attention to Cheat Codes you encounter. Epic says Rare and Epic Cheat Codes can contain Sprites of any rarity. The final step matters most. Finding the Sprite in a match is not the same as permanently adding it to your collection. Prioritize extraction once you have the one you need, particularly if the Storm or nearby players make further searching risky.
After the match, check your Sprite collection in the lobby. If the Birthday Sprite is still missing, do not assume that merely carrying it during the match was enough. You need to secure it through the game’s extraction system.
What Does the Birthday Sprite Do?
When equipped, the Birthday Sprite gives Chests a chance to produce slices of cake. At maximum Sprite Level, eliminations can produce cake slices as well. That makes its ability useful during ordinary looting and, once leveled, after fights.
You do not need to confuse this ability with finding the Sprite itself. Equipping a Birthday Sprite may help you get cake slices from Chests; opening a Chest does not guarantee that a Birthday Sprite will drop. The two effects serve different purposes.
The Birthday Sprite also has variants for players building out their Sprite collections. If you find one, read its full name before extracting it so you know whether it fills the collection slot you are missing. Do not pass up the standard version while searching only for a variant—or the other way around.
