Fortnite’s Override season lets you enter Lobby Hack codes to claim rewards, including the Cheat Code Locator. This Gizmo helps you find Cheat Codes during a match, so it is useful if you are hunting for Sprites. You can get free Cheat Code Locators in Fortnite by entering specific codes in the lobby Admin Panel instead of spending Sprite Dust. Here are the five reported Locator codes, how to redeem them, and what to do once you have the Gizmo.
Free Cheat Code Locator Codes in Fortnite
As of September 2026, the following Admin Panel codes are listed as giving two Cheat Code Locators each:
| Code | Reward |
|---|---|
SURVIVETHENIGHT | 2 Cheat Code Locators |
FINDITCHAT | 2 Cheat Code Locators |
INVALIDCHEAT | 2 Cheat Code Locators |
CHATFINDMEANOTHERCODE | 2 Cheat Code Locators |
ALMOSTSCARINGSEASON | 2 Cheat Code Locators |
The gameplay video supplied for this guide shows SURVIVETHENIGHT and FINDITCHAT awarding two Locators apiece. Recent code guides list the other three with the same reward. If all five are available to redeem on your account, you can claim 10 Locators in total.
How to Enter Locator Codes
You need to enter these codes in the lobby, before starting a match:
- Open Fortnite and go to the Battle Royale lobby.
- Select the “…/ admin panel” option near the top-right of the screen.
- Enter one code from the table.
- Select Submit and check the reward confirmation.
- Repeat for the remaining codes.
Enter each code without spaces. If one does not work, check the spelling and make sure you have not already claimed it.
The Admin Panel is different from the Cheat Code panels found on the Island. The codes in the table are Lobby Hacks that give you Locators; they are not sequences to enter during a match.

What Does the Cheat Code Locator Do?
The Cheat Code Locator is a Gizmo you use during a Fortnite match. Equip it from your Gizmo wheel, activate it, and follow the location it reveals to find a nearby Cheat Code panel. You can then complete that panel’s input sequence to see which Sprite it offers.
A Locator makes the search easier, but it does not guarantee a new Sprite for your collection. You may find one you already have.
Can You Get More Without Codes?
Check your current Fortnite quests for Locator rewards if you have used the available codes. Published item guides also describe buying a Cheat Code Locator at a Sprite Extraction Site for 1,500 Sprite Dust. Claiming the free Admin Panel rewards first lets you save that Dust for something else.
Why Is My Code Not Working?
A rejected code may have been typed incorrectly, claimed already, or become unavailable since the last published code check. Try copying it exactly from the table and submitting it again. If it still fails, move to another listed code rather than assuming the Admin Panel itself is broken.
The supplied video’s automatic captions sometimes call the item a “Chico locator.” That is a transcription mistake: the in-game item is the Cheat Code Locator.
