Palworld Has Rejected “Loads” of Collaboration Offers

Palworld may be a major target for crossover pitches, but Pocketpair is not willing to add every proposed collaboration to the game.

John “Bucky” Buckley, Pocketpair’s head of publishing and communications, has revealed that the studio has rejected or scrapped a large number of potential Palworld crossovers. According to Buckley, the team only considers collaborations that suit Palworld’s survival gameplay and overall world.

Pocketpair Has Turned Down Many Collabs

The discussion began after players shared mixed opinions about Palworld’s Terraria crossover. Some fans enjoyed the event, while others felt that crossover content could affect the game’s lore and identity.

Buckley said he understood why some players might want Palworld to remain more lore-focused. However, he explained that Pocketpair has always followed a fun-first approach when choosing new content.

At the same time, the team does not want to add unrelated characters, items, or brands just because they are popular. If a collaboration feels too random or does not work naturally in Palworld, Pocketpair would rather reject it.

When asked what kind of collaborations had been declined, Buckley gave a simple answer: “Loads.”

Popular Games Receive Many Offers

Buckley also pointed out that Palworld is not the only successful game receiving constant collaboration proposals.

He said that almost every popular game likely gets collaboration offers all the time. As Palworld has become one of the biggest survival and creature-collecting games, many developers and publishers may be interested in bringing their games, characters, or cosmetic items into its world.

However, Pocketpair appears focused on quality over quantity. The studio does not want Palworld to become filled with crossover content that distracts from catching Pals, building bases, exploring islands, and surviving dangerous encounters.

Palworld Has Been Selective So Far

Palworld has already featured crossover content with games such as Terraria and Ultrakill.

The Terraria crossover introduced themed content inspired by the popular sandbox adventure game, while the Ultrakill collaboration gave players access to special armor inspired by its fast-paced action gameplay.

These collaborations show that Pocketpair is open to partnerships when there is a clear gameplay fit. A crossover needs to add something fun for players while still feeling appropriate for Palworld.

Future Palworld Collaborations Remain Unclear

Pocketpair has not confirmed its next Palworld crossover. Buckley’s comments only show that the studio is receiving many offers and carefully deciding which ideas deserve to move forward.

That means players should not assume every popular game will eventually appear in Palworld. Future collaborations will likely depend on whether Pocketpair can find a way to make them enjoyable, useful, and natural within the game’s survival-focused world.

For now, Palworld fans can expect Pocketpair to remain selective rather than accepting crossover offers simply because they could attract attention.
