NVIDIA will release its final GeForce Game Ready Driver and Studio Driver for Windows 10 in October 2026. From November 2026, new regular NVIDIA driver releases will require Windows 11, although supported GeForce graphics cards will still receive quarterly security updates through October 2029.
This does not mean your NVIDIA GPU will suddenly stop working. Your PC, installed games, and the final Windows 10 driver will keep working. The big change is that Windows 10 users will no longer receive new-game optimizations, feature additions, and normal driver updates.

NVIDIA’s Windows 10 driver deadline explained
NVIDIA’s GeForce Game Ready Drivers are made for gamers. These updates often add support for new games, improve performance, fix known problems, and prepare PCs for day-one launches.

RTX and older GTX cards
This deadline is especially important for GeForce RTX owners using Windows 10. NVIDIA previously extended full Windows 10 Game Ready Driver support for all GeForce RTX GPUs through October 2026.
