The Fortnite Day of the Dead rewards include two free sprays and an emoticon, and getting them is simple: log into the game and claim them when the reward screen appears. The set includes Catrina Was Here, Picado Spray, and the Día de Muertos emoticon. There is no skin in this giveaway, so do not confuse these items with the themed outfits in the Item Shop. Here is how to claim the rewards and find them in your Locker.
Key Takeaways
Free Fortnite Day of the Dead Rewards
Collect the Catrina Was Here spray, Picado Spray, and Día de Muertos emoticon.
Log into Fortnite on October 30 and claim the items from the reward screen.
You do not need a purchase, redeem code, or Creative-map challenge.
The free reward set does not include an outfit.
The claim process takes place when you log into the game. You do not need to search the island for an NPC, complete a mission, or enter a special Creative experience to unlock these three items.
All three belong to the same login giveaway. There is no separate challenge for each reward, so you do not need to complete a series of tasks to collect the full set.
The two sprays are separate from the Día de Muertos emoticon. Keep that distinction in mind when checking your Locker, especially if you are looking through your dance emotes for the final item.
Is Día de Muertos a Dance Emote?
No. Día de Muertos is an emoticon, not a dance emote.
The giveaway includes two sprays and one emoticon. It does not include a dance, outfit, or additional cosmetic bundle.
How to Claim the Free Rewards
Free Fortnite Day of the Dead Rewards
Follow these steps to collect the items:
Launch Fortnite.
Sign into the Epic Games account where you want the cosmetics.
Wait for the game to finish loading.
Claim the items when the reward screen appears.
Open your Locker to check the two sprays and the emoticon.
You do not need to buy anything from the Item Shop before claiming the rewards. There is also no redeem code to enter.
After accepting the reward screen, check for the items by name: Catrina Was Here, Picado Spray, and Día de Muertos. This makes it easier to confirm that you have found the complete set rather than looking for an outfit that is not included.
Do You Need to Complete a Match?
No. These are login rewards, so completing a Battle Royale match is not part of the unlock process.
You do not need eliminations, a Victory Royale, or progress through a quest chain. Logging in and claiming the reward screen is enough.
Do You Need to Play a Creative Map?
No. The free cosmetics do not require you to enter a Brainrot-themed Creative map.
Those activities are separate from the login giveaway. If you only want the two sprays and the emoticon, you can collect them without starting a Creative session.
Log into Fortnite on October 30 to collect the Day of the Dead rewards.
Do not wait for a specific quest to appear before checking the game. The cosmetics arrive through the login reward screen rather than a mission that you need to track and finish.
An exact closing time is not confirmed here. Avoid assuming that the giveaway will remain available after October 30 or that there will be another chance to claim missed rewards.
The Day of the Dead celebration includes free login cosmetics and separate Item Shop outfits. These are not the same offer.

Salvador and Catrina are separate Item Shop cosmetics, not rewards for logging in. Their connection to the celebration does not make them part of the free three-item set.
You do not need either outfit to claim the sprays or emoticon. Likewise, collecting the login rewards does not unlock those outfits.
Where to Find the Cosmetics After Claiming Them
Free Fortnite Day of the Dead Rewards
Open your Locker after accepting the rewards. Look for the two sprays and the Día de Muertos emoticon in your cosmetic collection.
Check the names rather than searching only for a general Day of the Dead label. The three rewards have individual names, and the emoticon should not be confused with a dance emote.
If you have already accepted the reward screen, check your Locker before trying unrelated quests or Creative maps. Neither is required for this giveaway, and buying an Item Shop cosmetic is not an unlock step.
