Breeding lets you build a stronger Palworld base before you can catch high-level workers in the wild. With a Breeding Farm, Cake, and a few useful starter Pals, you can work toward powerful Watering, Mining, Kindling, Handiwork, Transporting, Planting, Gathering, and Lumbering specialists.
This guide starts with Jormuntide, then uses the Pals you breed along the way to unlock stronger workers such as Astegon, Jormuntide Ignis, Solenne, Renjishi, Knocklem, Ophydia, Starryon Primo, and Celesdir Noct
What You Need Before Breeding
Unlock the Breeding Farm at level 19 and place it inside your base. You need one male Pal, one female Pal, and Cake to start every breeding cycle.
Put both Pals in your base, assign them to the Breeding Farm, and place Cake in the chest attached to the farm. When breeding is complete, collect the egg and place it in an Egg Incubator.

Use the Monitoring Stand to assign both parents to the Breeding Farm. This stops them from leaving to do other jobs around your base.
How to Make Cake for Breeding
Cake is required for every breeding cycle. Set up ingredient production before beginning a long breeding chain.
| Ingredient | How to Get It |
|---|---|
| Eggs | Assign Chikipi to a Ranch |
| Milk | Assign Mozzarina to a Ranch |
| Honey | Assign Beegarde to a Ranch |
| Red Berries | Grow them at a Berry Plantation |
| Flour | Grow Wheat and process it at a Mill |
Use a Cooking Pot and a Pal with Kindling to make Cake. Keep enough Cake in the Breeding Farm chest so your breeding pairs do not stop working.
If Pals are eating milk, eggs, or honey from the Feed Box, adjust your storage settings. Keep breeding ingredients available for Cake production.
Best Starter Pals for This Route
You do not need every Pal at once, but these starter Pals help you build the full breeding route.
| Starter Pal | Why You Need It |
|---|---|
| Warsect | Starts the main Jormuntide route |
| Digtoise | Creates key early breeding Pals |
| Fuack | Needed to breed Univolt |
| Grintale | Opens later breeding branches |
| Eikthyrdeer Terra | Needed for Celesdir |
| Incineram | Needed for Elizabee and Yakumo |
Keep important offspring instead of replacing or condensing them immediately. Many Pals from the early branches are needed again later.
How to Breed Jormuntide Early
Jormuntide is one of the best early goals because it has Watering Level 7. It can handle major watering jobs at your base and is also used in several later breeding combinations.
Follow this breeding chain:
| Step | Parent Pair | Offspring |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Warsect + Digtoise | Warsect Terra |
| 2 | Warsect Terra + Digtoise | Relaxaurus |
| 3 | Warsect Terra + Relaxaurus | Frostplume |
| 4 | Digtoise + Fuack | Univolt |
| 5 | Univolt + Frostplume | Univolt Cryst |
| 6 | Warsect Terra + Univolt Cryst | Jormuntide |
Keep Warsect Terra, Frostplume, Univolt Cryst, and Jormuntide. They are useful for later breeding chains.
Build and supply the Breeding Farm

The demonstration starts with the Breeding Farm, unlocked at level 19. Each pairing requires one male Pal, one female Pal, and Cake in the attached chest.
- Add both parents to your base.
- Assign them to the Breeding Farm.
- Place Cake inside the farm’s chest.
- Use the Monitoring Stand’s fixed-assignment option to keep the parents at the farm.
- Wait for the breeding progress to finish.
- Collect the egg and incubate it.
Check your parents’ genders before starting. You may need several hatches to obtain an offspring that can breed with the next required parent.
Keep your intermediate Pals. Warsect Terra, Frostplume, Jormuntide, and other parents return in later branches.
Breed Jormuntide Ignis and Flaracle
After breeding Jormuntide, add Grintale to your setup.
| Step | Parent Pair | Offspring |
|---|---|---|
| 7 | Jormuntide + Grintale | Blazehowl |
| 8 | Blazehowl + Jormuntide | Jormuntide Ignis |
| 9 | Jormuntide + Jormuntide Ignis | Flaracle |
Jormuntide Ignis is an excellent Kindling worker with Kindling Level 7. It speeds up cooking, smelting, and other fire-based production jobs.
Flaracle is also important because it helps unlock Astegon, Solenne, Knocklem, and other powerful base Pals.
Breed Astegon for Mining
Astegon is a strong Mining Pal with Mining Level 7. It is useful when your base needs more Ore, Coal, Sulfur, or other mined materials.
| Parent Pair | Offspring |
|---|---|
| Jormuntide + Flaracle | Astegon |
Place Astegon at a mining base or a base with resource nodes. It can also help with Handiwork, making it useful when your production line is busy.
Breed Solenne for Handiwork
Solenne is one of the best Handiwork Pals in Palworld 1.0. It has Handiwork Level 8 and can greatly improve crafting speed at your base.
| Parent Pair | Offspring |
|---|---|
| Jormuntide Ignis + Flaracle | Solenne |
Use Solenne at your main base for crafting stations, assembly lines, repair benches, and other Handiwork jobs.
Breed Renjishi for Kindling
Renjishi is a top Kindling worker with Kindling Level 8. It is useful for players who want faster cooking, smelting, refining, and production.
| Step | Parent Pair | Offspring |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Jormuntide Ignis + Warsect Terra | Blazamut |
| 2 | Jormuntide Ignis + Blazamut | Renjishi |
Keep Blazamut after breeding it because it also has useful Mining and Kindling work suitability.
Breed Knocklem for Transporting
Knocklem is a strong Transporting Pal with Transporting Level 7. It helps keep your base clean by moving dropped materials into storage.
| Step | Parent Pair | Offspring |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Solenne + Grintale | Suzaku |
| 2 | Renjishi + Flaracle | Eidrolon |
| 3 | Eidrolon + Suzaku | Eidrolon Ignis |
| 4 | Eidrolon Ignis + Flaracle | Knocklem |
Use Knocklem when Ore, wood, stone, crops, and crafted materials keep piling up around your base.
Breed Ophydia for Planting
Ophydia is a strong planting worker with Planting Level 7 and Watering Level 5.
| Parent Pair | Offspring |
|---|---|
| Jormuntide Ignis + Renjishi | Ophydia |
Use Ophydia at a farming base with Berry Plantations, Wheat Plantations, Tomato Plantations, Lettuce Plantations, and other crop fields.
Breed Starryon Primo for Gathering
Starryon Primo is a strong Gathering specialist with Gathering Level 7.
| Step | Parent Pair | Offspring |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Frostplume + Jormuntide | Gildane |
| 2 | Gildane + Eikthyrdeer Terra | Celesdir |
| 3 | Jormuntide Ignis + Grintale | Starryon |
| 4 | Starryon + Celesdir | Starryon Primo |
Celesdir is also useful before reaching the final result because it has Lumbering Level 7.
Breed Celesdir Noct for Lumbering

Celesdir Noct is a top Lumbering worker with Lumbering Level 8.
| Step | Parent Pair | Offspring |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Grintale + Incineram | Elizabee |
| 2 | Elizabee + Digtoise | Kitsun |
| 3 | Incineram + Fuack | Yakumo |
| 4 | Yakumo + Knocklem | Nyafia |
| 5 | Nyafia + Kitsun | Kitsun Noct |
| 6 | Kitsun Noct + Celesdir | Celesdir Noct |
This is one of the longest branches in the guide, so complete it after you have already improved your mining, watering, kindling, crafting, and farming production.
Which Base Pal Should You Breed First?
Choose the next Pal based on the job slowing down your base.
| Base Problem | Best Pal to Breed |
|---|---|
| Slow watering | Jormuntide |
| Low mining output | Astegon |
| Slow smelting and cooking | Jormuntide Ignis or Renjishi |
| Slow crafting | Solenne |
| Materials lying around the base | Knocklem |
| Slow crop planting | Ophydia |
| Slow crop harvesting | Starryon Primo |
| Slow wood production | Celesdir Noct |
Breeding Tips
Keep extra Cake ready before beginning a long chain. Every breeding attempt uses resources, and running out of Cake can delay your progress.
Check the genders of your Pals before starting each pairing. You need one male and one female Pal in the Breeding Farm.
Use Grintale when you want more eggs from manual collection. Keep Grintale in your party and collect eggs from a normal Breeding Farm if you want a chance at extra eggs.
Focus on one production problem at a time. Breed Jormuntide first if watering is weak, Astegon if you need mining, or Solenne if your crafting stations are always busy.
